Exodus 22:28 Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor
curse the ruler of thy people.
II Samuel 23:3 The God of Israel said, the rock
of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men
must be just, ruling in the fear of God.
Job 12:21 He poureth out contempt upon princes,
and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.
Job 12:24,25 He taketh away the heart of the chief
of the people of the earth, and causeth them to
wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
They grope in the dark without light, and He
maketh them to stagger like a drunken man.
Job 34:18,19,20 Is is fit to say to a king, Thou
art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?
How much less to him that accepteth not the
persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich
more than the poor? for they all are the work
of His hands>
In a moment shall they die, and the people shall
be troubled at midnight, and passs away: and the
mighty shall be taken away without hand.
Job 36:5,6 Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth
not any: He is mighty in strength and wisdom.
He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but
giveth right to the poor.
Job 36:7,8,9 He withdraweth not his eyes from
the righteous: but with kings are they on the
throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever,
and they are exalted.
And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden
in cords of affliction;
Then he sheweth them their work, and their
transgressions that they have exceeded.
Job 36:10,11,12 He openeth also their ear to
discipline, and commandeth that they return
from iniquity.
If they obey and serve him, they shall spend
their days in prosperity, and their years in
pleasures.
But if they obey not, they shall perish by the
sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
Psalm 12:8 The wicked walk on every side, when
the vilest men are exalted.
Psalm 112:5,6,7 Who is like unto the Lord our
God, Who delleth on high,
Who humbleth Himself to behold the things that
are in heaven, and in the earth!
He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and
lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;
Psalm 112:8 That he may set him with princes,
even with the princes of his people.
Psalm 118:8,9 It is better to trust in the Lord
than to put confidence in man.
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put
confidence in princes.
Proverbs 12:24 The hand of the diligent shall
bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
Proverbs 14:34,35 Righteousness exalteth a nation:
but sin is a reproach to any people.
Psalm 37:35 I have seen the wicked in great power,
and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
Yet he passed away. and lo, he was not: yea, I
sought him, but he could not be found.
The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his
wrath is against him that causeth shame.
Psalm 94:20,21 Shall the throne of iniquity have
fellowship with Thee, which frameth mischief by a
law?
They gather themselves together against the soul of
the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
Psalm 107:40 He poureth contempt upon princes, and

Proverbs 8:15,16 By Me kings reign,and princes
decree justice.
By Me princes rule, and nobles, even all the

love him that speaketh right.
The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but

Proverbs 28:2 For the transgression of a land many
are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding
and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.
Proverbs 28:12 When righteous men do rejoice, there
is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is
hidden.
Proverbs 28:15,16 As a roaring lion, and a raging
bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.
The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great
oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall

his servants are wicked.
Proverbs 29:14 The king that faithfully judgeth
the poor, his throne shall be established for
ever.
Proverbs 31:4,5 It is not for kings, O Lemuel,
it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for
princes strong drink:
Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert
the judgments of any of the afflicted.
Ecclestiastes 8:4 Where the word of a king is,
there is power: and who may unto him, What
doest thou?
Ecclesiastes 10:6,7 Folly is set in great
dignity, and the rich sit in low place.
I have seen servants upon horses, and princes
walking as servants upon the earth.
Ecclesiastes 10:16 Woe to thee, O land, when
thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in
the morning.
Ecclesiastes 10:20 Curse not the king, no not
in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy
bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry
the voice, and that which hath wings shall
tell the matter.
Isaiah 3:12 As for My people, children are their
oppressors, and women rule over them. O my
people, they which lead thee cause thee to err,
and destroy the way of thy paths.
Isaiah 9:14,15,16 Therefore the Lord will cut off
from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in
one day.
The ancient and honourabe, he is the head; and
the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.
For the leaders of this people cause them to
err; and they that are led of them are
destroyed.
Isaiah 10:1,2 Woe to them that decree unrighteous
decrees, that write grievousness which they have
prescribed;
To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take
away the right from the poor of my people, that
widows may be their prey, and that they may rob
the fatherless!
Daniel 4:17 This matter is by the decree of the
watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy
ones: to the intent that the living may know
that the Most High ruleth in the kingdom
of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will,
and setteth up over it the basest of men.
I Timothy 2:1,2,3 I exhort therefore, that, first
of all, supplications, prayers, inercessions, and
giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority;
that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life
in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of
God our Saviour;
I Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved,
and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
I Peter 2:17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood.
Fear God. Honour the king.
