When God Will Not Hear Your Prayers When Your Earth is As Iron and Your Heaven As Brass *
I Samuel 8:18 And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king
which ye shall have chosen you; and the Lord will not hear you in that
day.

I Samuel 28:6 And when Saul enquired of the Lord, the Lord
answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, or by prophets.

I Samuel 14:33 Then they told Saul, saying, Behold the people sin
against the Lord, in that they eat with the blood. And he said,
Ye have transgressed: roll a great stone unto me this day.

I Samuel 14:34,35,36 And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the
People, and say unto them, Bring me hither every man his ox, and
every man his sheep, and slay them here, and eat; and sin not
against the Lord in eating with the blood. And all the people
brought every man his ox with him that night, and slew them
there.

And Saul built an altar unto the Lord: the same was the first altar
that he built unto the Lord.

And Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines by night, and
spoil them until the morning light, and let us not leave a man of
them. And they said, Do whatsoever seemeth good unto thee. Then
said the priest, Let us draw near hither unto God.

I Samuel 14:3· And Saul asked counsel of God, Shall I go down
after the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into the hand of
Israel? But he answered him not that day.

II Samuel 23:3,4 The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake
to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear
of God.

And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth,
even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out
of the earth by clear shining after rain.

Ezra 8:22 For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of
soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way:
because we had spoken to the king, saying, The hand of our God
is upon all them for good that seek Him; but his power and His
wrath is against all them that forsake them.

Nehemiah 9:27,28,29 Therefore thou deliveredst them into the
hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of
their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them
from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest
them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their
enemies.

But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee,
therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies,
so that they had they had the dominion over them: yet when
they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from
heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according
to thy mercies.

And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them
again unto thy law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened
not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments,
(which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the
shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.

Nehemiah 9:30,31,32 Yet many years didst thou forbear them,
and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in the prophets:
yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them
into the hand of the people of the land.

Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not
utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a
gracious and merciful God.

Now therefore, our God the great, the mighty, and the terrible
God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble
seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, our kings,
on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and
on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the
kings of Assyria unto this day.

Nehemiah 9:33 However thou art just in all that is brought
upon us; for thou hast done right, but we have done wickedly.

Psalm 50:22 Now, consider this, ye that forget God, lest I
tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will
not hear me.

Psalm 81:13,14,15,16 Oh that My people had hearkened unto
Me, and Israel had walked in My ways!

I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand
against their adversaries.

The haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves
unto Him: but their time should have endured forever.

He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat:
and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

Proverbs 1:24,25,26 Because I have called, and ye refused;
I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my
reproof:

I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear
cometh;

Proverbs 1:27,28,29 When your fear cometh as desolation, and
your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and
anguish come upon you.

Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall
seek me early, but they shall not find me;

For that they hated knowledge, and did not chose the fear of the
Lord;

Proverbs 1:30,31,32 They would none of my counsel: they despised
all of my reproof.

For that they hated knowledge and did not chose the fear of the
Lord:

They would none of My counsel; they despised all My reproof.

Proverbs 1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto Me shall dwell safely,
and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer shall be abomination.

Isaiah 1:11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices
unto me? saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of
rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood
of bullocks, or of lambs or of he goats.

Isaiah 1:14,15,16 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my
soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear
them.

Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from
before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the
Oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Isaiah 59:1,2,3 Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it
cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and
your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with
Iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered
perverseness.

Isaiah 59:4,5,6 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for
truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive
mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

They hatch cockatrice's eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that
eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh
out into a viper.

Their webs shall not become garments. neither shall they cover
themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity,
and the act of violence is in their hands.

Isaiah 59:7,8,9 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to
shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity;
wasting and destruction are in their paths.

The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their
goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth
therein shall not know peace.

Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake
us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but
we walk in darkness.

Isaiah 59:12,13,14 For our transgression are multiplied before
Thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are
with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;

In transgressing and lying against the Lord, and departing away
from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and
uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

And Judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar
off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

Isaiah 65:11,12 But ye that forsake the Lord, that forget My
holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that
furnish the drink offering unto that number,

Thereofore will I number yyou to the sword, and ye shall all bow
down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not
answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before
mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

Jeremiah 11:8,9,10 Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear,
but walked everyone in the imagination of their evil heart:
therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant,
which I commanded them to do; but they did them not.

And the Lord said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of
Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers,
which refused to hear my words and they went after other Gods
to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have
broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.

Jeremiah 11:11 Therefore thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will
bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape;
and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.

Jeremiah 11:14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither
lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the
time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

Jeremiah 14:7 O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us,
do thou it, for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many;
we have sinned against thee.

Jeremiah 14:11,12 Then said the Lord unto me, Pray not for this
people for their good.

When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer
burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I
will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the
pestilence.

Jeremiah 22:21,22 I spake unto theee in thy properity; but thou
saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy
youth, that thou obeyedst not My voice.

The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go
into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded
for all thy wickedness.

Ezekiel 20:31,32 For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your
sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all
your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by
you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord God, I will
not be enquired of by you.

And that which cometh unto your mind shall not be at all, that
ye say, We will be as the heathen, as a families of the countries,
to serve wood and stone.

As I live, saith the Lord God, surely with a mighty y dn and
with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will
rule over you:

Michah 3:1,2,3,4 And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob,
and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is is not for you to
know judgment?

Who hate the good and love the evil; who pluck off their skin
from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from
off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces,
as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

Then shall they cry unto the Lord, but He will not hear them:
he will hide his face from them at that time, as they have
behaved themselves ill in their doings.

Zechariah 7:8,9,10 Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying,
Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every
man to his brother:

And the word of the Lord came to Zechariah, saying,

Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment,
and shew mercy and compassions every man to this brother:

Zechariah 7:10,11,12, And oppress not the widow, nor the
Fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you
imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder,
and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

Yea, they made their hearts as as adamant stone, lest they
should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of Hosts
hath sent by His spirit by the former prophets: therefore
came a great wrath from the Lord of Hosts.

Zechariah 7:13 Therefore it is come to pass, that as He cried,
and they would not hear, so they cried, and I would not hear,
saith the Lord of Hosts

Malachi 2:2,3 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to
heart, to give glory unto My name, saith the Lord of hosts, I
will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your
blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not
lay it to heart.

Behold, I will corupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces,
even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away
with it.

I Peter 3:5,6,7 For after this manner in the old time the holy
women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in
subjection to their own husbands:

Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters
ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any
amazement.

Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge,
giving honour unto he wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as
being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers
be not hindered.
