The Sabbath
Genesis 2:1,2,3 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and
all the host of them.
And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made;and
he rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that
in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made.
Exodus 12:15,16 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread: even the

man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh
day.
So the people rested on the seventh day.

saying, Verily My sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign
between Me and you throughout your generations; that ye may
know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.
Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you:
every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for
whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from
among his people.
Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of
rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath
day, he shall surely be put to death.

shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land,
neither shall the sword go through the land.

to the Lord, speak, saying, The Lord hath utterly separated
me from His people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold I am
a dry tree.

keep My sabbaths, and choose the things that please Me, and
take hold of My covenant;

place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will
give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

hath spoken it.

Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

Moreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my
